It is a fixed combination of two oral antidiabetics from different pharmacological classes; metformin (biguanide) and glibenclamide (hypoglycemic sulphonylureas).
It is available as Glucovance® 500mg/5mg and Glucovance® 500mg/2.5mg Film coated tablets.
Combined with a proper diet, this medicinal product is indicated for the treatment of adult onset diabetes (type 2 diabetes mellitus).
